I enjoy exploring in life and through my art. I am currently working on three different series exploring ideas around nature, texture, and symbolism.

When I’m creating, my intention is to lead the viewer through the work to a feeling. For example, in the piece Pastel Clouds, I’m hoping to have the viewer move from thinking about the soft and sweet texture and colors to thinking about soft and sweet memories from their own lives.

I use found objects such as animal skulls and antlers in my work. I love the idea of giving that animal new life. I also enjoy studying color and creating effects using patina, rust, flame and metal.

In all of my work I want to bring people joy and a feeling of familiarity or remembrance through an image, object or color palette.
